About Us

In 1990 Jon moved to the East Coast of the U.S.A. after apprenticing with Hayes & Howe, one of the premier ornamental plastering companies in the U.K. to continue training with their sister company in the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area.  During the next 15 years he mastered his trade and was fortunate enough to participate in many high profile national restoration projects, including; the restoration of Union Station, Kansas City, Grand Central Station N.Y, N.Y. and contributed work at The White House.  Since making a quality of life decision, moving to Partland, Maine, he and the Sampson & Company team have completed many local projects including the replacement of the State Street Church trefoil strapwork ceiling and the plaster restoration at The Daniel Freeman House on Congress St.

With this sound platform of experience and knowledge Jon is building a company of local artisians who can offer a full spectrum of plastering services to all sectors of the restoration and construction industries.

Our Goal:

It is the express intention of our company to make a real and lasting contribution to the preservation of the many beautifully adorned historic buildings locally, and indeed nationally.  We want to continue and enhance the re-emergence of an ancient art form that may be once more considered a legitimate design option for architects and designers in the U.S.A.
